Have you been suing Twitter and wondering how to use it to benefit your business or how to use Twitter for marketing?  Have you been thinking about using Twitter but have no idea how it can benefit your business?  I was in the same boat a few months ago and I built a small following but I still never realized the true potential of Twitter until a few weeks ago.  I am not sure that the so called “Twitter Power Users” are doing much else than building thousands of followers to tell you the truth.

  1. Twitter has helped put my traffic on autopilot.  Right now, Twitter is bringing me a substantial amount of traffic.  My blog posts are auto fed to Twitter and the days that I publish new posts on Twitter or republish my posts on Twitter are some of my highest traffic days.  I am trying to build a list of targeted followers and not just grabbing any follower that I can.  This is definitely helping because a majority of the people that are following me have a genuine interest in the topics that I write about!
  2. Twitter taught me the power of Social Media and automating Social Media.  Twitter was my training ground but now I am capitalizing on dozens of sites that are just like Twitter.  I  have integrated dozens of Social Media sites into one giant automated Social Media traffic machine.  No other site could have helped me realize the power of this medium like Twitter did and now I am benefitting by applying my Twitter tactics to several other Social Media sites.
  3. Twitter helps keep me current.  Twitter helps me track what the current market wants.  There are two ways that I do this.  First, I am very mindful of what others are retweeting.  If someone retweets a post there must be some interest in it.  If others comment about the value of a post I take note.  I also track the click through rate of the links that I include in my posts.  There are several services out there that allow me to do this and the one that I use right now is Hootsuite.

So to recap, using Twitter for marketing (combined with other Social Media sites) is bringing me a ton of traffic, it is my gateway to the power of other Social Media sites AND it allows me to stay on top of what information the market is hungry for.  If you have any questions or comments please leave them below and I will respond to each and every one of them!
