As if it’s just not enough, after spending all of this time writing great content, now you have to do something with this content!  This is where many great debates can take place and a lot of learning will come with time.  But, for now, the key is to get your article posted to as many sites as possible to create back links and create some traffic for yourself.

Quite frankly, I have not seen one identical list of where you should be posting your articles.  But there are a few commonalities among all of the great books and courses that you’ll read on article marketing.  The no brainers so to speak.

First and foremost, I put my best content on my own site.  So step one, post that stuff on your own site.  Every now and then you’ll find someone that reverses these first two steps but stick with your own site first.

Second, put another, unique article on ezinearticles.  You have to put it here.  As long as you have your keyword in your title, your first sentence and then a few more times in the body of your article, you should get traffic.  Do some due diligence and checkout your competition on ezinearticles too.

Whatever you do, do not submit the exact same article from your site to ezinearticles.  They are very strict and you will not get your article approved.  It must be unique content.

Next, I build a Squidoo lens with some more unique content around the same keyword.  I jazz it up a bit and I include some photos, links to my site and links to my ezinarticles article.  You have to post to Web 2.0 networks and they will bring you some traffic.  Learning a bit more about Squidoo, Web 2.0 and some more in depth information about how they fir into your overall article marketing strategy is critical.  For all of these details I recommend One Week Marketing by Pot Pie Girl.  It is an incredible process that will tie all of the loose ends together for you and give you some great places to post your articles.

So you have your main site covered, your top article directory covered and probably your top Web 2.0 site covered.  Next, you will be submitting to a few more top article directories, some more Web 2.0 sites and some blog networks.

Oh and do not forget!!!  Send out the links to your new site page, your ezinearticle and your Squidoo lens to your Twitter followers!  You will jump start some good traffic right from the beginning with those!

Stay for my next post on where you should be putting all of this great content next!
